You may have noticed going gluten-free is all the rage today and you probably have a few friends or colleagues that are gluten-free. There are many recommendations to go gluten-free, and it seems like it is the answer for almost any health concern from chronic fatigue to incurable diseases to a need for more energy.

As a Registered Dietitian who specializes in food intolerance and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) I want to speak to this subject and give you all the facts before you swap your Panini for a salad. You need to know that gluten-free is not the same as Low FODMAP, and that while limiting your consumption of gluten-containing products may be a part of your strategy for improved digestive health, it’s not the answer all on it’s own 😉

I did an interview with Talk Local in Waterloo where I addressed some common myths and talked all about when and for who a gluten free diet might be right!
